Sometimes you just gotta vent. It’s part of being human. If you feel like you're “losing it,” here are a few places at U of I where you can find help, or go 和 be safe.
Counseling 和 Mental 健康 Center
的 Counseling 和 Mental 健康 Center is on the third floor of Forney Hall, on the south end of campus. If you feel like you can wait a bit to talk to someone, call 208-885-6716 和 schedule an appointment. If waiting is NOT an option, just show up. If you don’t want to show up, or can’t leave where you are, call 208-885-6716 和 speak to a crisis counselor.
Student Rec Center
When you know you don’t need professional help, but you do need to do something to manage your emotions, 去Rec. 计算出. 玩. 爬. 的 Rec is open from 6 a.m. 到晚上9点.m. 大多数日子里. Exercise can help you sort through whatever might be bugging you.
的 Women’s Center or the LGBTQA office
You may discover things in college that you never experienced in high school. You may make decisions about your future 和 identity that you didn’t feel safe to make when you were back home. Know that you will be accepted, supported 和 guided through these difficult issues at our Women’s Center 和 LGBTQA这样办公室. 的y can also help you sort through the tough emotions you may experience or in processing traumatic events.

你的 resident assistant (RA) 和 academic advisor are your on-campus resources. 的y’re trained to help you through difficult times. If you have an issue, but it’s not an emergency 和 you just want to get a different perspective, talk to an advisor. 你的 RA can help you with roommate issues, living situations 和 general venting. 你的 academic advisor can help you with course issues, clear up any confusion or help you find the right path for your major or career goals.
